Economic Impact

Fairbanks is an economic hub of the Interior Alaska. Through its transportation system and developed infrastructure and services, Fairbanks impacts nearby communities. The strongest area of the economic impact is Fairbanks North Star Borough. Fairbanks also significantly impacts other communities: Denali Borough, North Slope area, Northwest  Arctic Borogh, Yukon Valley, Tanana River area, and Valdez-Cordova region.
