Eielson Air Force Base

Eielson Air Force Base (EAFB) is located 26 miles southeast of Fairbanks and is home to the 354th Fighter Wing.

Eielson AFB has approximately 3000 Active Duty military personnel assigned, 650 members of the Alaska Air National Guard and 5700 family members, of which, about 3400 live off-base.

The total annual payroll for military related employees is approximately $220 million.  The estimated total economic impact to the Greater Fairbanks Community is $289 million annually.
