Biofuel

The FEDC is actively involved in analyzing and pursuing the feasibility of a Biofuel Processing Plant in Fairbanks.  This plant would produce woody biomass fuel utilizing local wood waste, fire mitigated wood and local timber sales. The ability to produce and use biofuel fuel in Fairbanks and the Interior will hopefully help to greatly reduce home heating costs, control emission levels from wood burning in winter months and utilize local wood waste.
