Good Morning!

Here are a few updates regarding the Interior Issues Council Taskforces:

The new Interior Issues Council Climate Change Taskforce will have its initial meeting on February 27th, 9am at the FEDC office (301 Cushman Street, Suite 301). Please RSVP to me so I know you are coming!

The Community Economy Taskforce is in full gear, meeting every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. These meetings are at 8am in the FEDC office. Jack Wilbur is still the chair of this group.

The Cost of Energy Taskforce is still busy, the Fairbanks Energy Plan they developed is on the FEDC website. You should take a look at it, it is really good...also, Gasification sub-group completed their RFP and it has been distributed, we awaiting responses by the March deadline. Cost of Energy will not be meeting next week; I'll keep you posted on the next meeting date.

The Think Tank mailing list is used to keep people up to date on the Interior Issues Council meetings and news. The Interior Issues Council is a subcommittee of Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation and has been created to research, publish, and educate the public on issues concerning Interior Alaskans and Alaska's future and to recommend public policy actions to enhance or resolve those issues.
