I was just reminded that I did not include an update for hte Educatino Taskforce in my last message. I don't know how I could have forgotten!
The open meeting a couple of weeks ago went very well. We have a lot of people who are interested in working together. Right now, we are taking time to get all of the informaiotn from the meeting organized and up on our website. Once we do so, we will be able to create subgroups (sort of like what the Cost of Energy group did) to address the identified priorities.
We should be ready soon! Keep watching for more details!
The Interior Issues Council mailing list is used to keep people up to date on the Interior Issues Council meetings and news. The Interior Issues Council is a supported and faciliated by the Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation and has been created to research, publish, and educate the public on issues concerning Interior Alaskans and Alaska's future and to recommend public policy actions to enhance or resolve those issues.
