The Interior Issues Council is a non-partisan, pro-Interior forum, collaborating across interests to solve problems.
To begin this pursuit, a cross section of community members and opinion leaders were invited to participate in a half day facilitated discussion on how to address significant public issues confronting Interior Alaska and the state.
Participants nominated topics they were interested in, and met in small groups to discuss them. After small group discussions, attendees prioritized topics and decided upon the next steps to be taken. From twenty four topics of discussion, six priorities were developed to be addressed immediately, and several future priorities were identified. Current IIC Taskforces are the Energy for All Alaska Taskforce and the Young Professionals Council.
